The Barton-on-Sea PROBUS Club is for men who have retired or are about to retire from PROfessional or BUSiness occupations. We aim to promote friendship and good fellowship amongst our members by organising various social activities.

Members are retired business people who embrace all facets of professional and business disciplines.

Although the Club is for men there are coffee mornings, lunches and joint functions in which members wives or partners can participate.

Barton-on-Sea in Hampshire is ideally located on the edge of the New Forest, about half-way between Lymington and Christchurch, and draws its members from within this area.

New members are welcome. For further information please e-mail Terry Johns at Terry.Johns@talktalk.net

Editorial
June 2010

With the AGM this month behind us, the web-site has now been updated with the programmes and events for the coming Probus Year under our new Chairman for 2010 - 2011, Don Chipchase.

You will see from these programmes that we will be as busy as ever with a good mixture of active and social activities.

The web-site will continue to carry all the information about future events and to report on the events as they occur. However, we will be experimenting with password protected pages in order to have pages for members only. These then might be used for collecting feed-back from members about the activities of the Club.

Indeed it would be useful to have feed-back from members about the web-site itself, both as to web design and to web content, and this feed-back could of course be either directly to myself or to any Committee member.
