PROGRAMME OF MONTHLY CLUB WALKS

Les Tranter invites you  accompany him on his regular walk in the New Forest, normally on the third Tuesday of the month. The walks will be  approximately 4-5 miles in length, commencing at 10.30am and last two hours. Lunch will not be organised but some may wish to visit a local hostelry.

Details of each walk will be published at the monthly Probus meeting and on this web site.

Events

The January walk started from the White Buck Hotel, Burley – Grid Reference SU 224 028. It was a circular walk, approximately 4 miles long and included a stroll around the lanes of Burley Street and Burley Lane.

Our next walk will take place on Tuesday 21st February and will start from the Blackwater car park, Rhinefield Drive – Grid Reference SU 268 047. This is a circular walk of approximately 3.5 miles mainly on gravel paths through Rhinefield Aboretum and Poundhill Enclosure. Please assemble to commence walking at 10.30 am.

No hazards are anticipated but a risk assessment will be conducted immediately prior to the walk and the participants advised on arrival.

Directions: From New Milton town centre take the B3058 north through Bashley to reach the A35.  Turn right towards Lyndhurst. After five miles turn right into Rhinefield Drive and the car park will be found on the left hand side after one mile.
